0N3 shorty boxcars from Bachmann

Hi,

Yes I am writing this in the right place!

The new issue of the Short Line Gazette arrived today; in it there is a review of the new 0N30 freight cars which are a scale 18 foot long.T

They look very nice if not superb, and I have sent a note to Bachmann to say so, and suggest that they 'think about' selling them in Large scale individually - in 0N30 they are in pairs.

With such a short length they could be very useful for space (and possibly cash) strapped large scale modellers; here is a link top the so you can look at them

They would also be perfect for trains behind the Shay. Climax, and Hiesler etc, which are rather bereft of any freight cars, with the exception of the log carriers.

If you also think they have a possibility in Large Scale perhaps a note to the sales department at Bachmann will reinforce my note?

Yes I am aware of the 20 footers but they are not cheap really, (Amazon have them(via a 3rd part at $56) you never know they may, with sufficient interest eventually do it !

Extra, I have had a reply from Bachmann; they say that there is no intention at the moment to make them in Large Scale; if you are interested more e-mails to them MAY change their mind - perhaps?

Yours Peter.
