well-sometimes i run my rack loco with a postal car-
and when running with the postal car forward, i have wanted some clear lens on the car to light the way
but
LGB german lanterns have a milk glass insert along with the clear red
i discovered that the US lantern lens will fit into the milk glass hole (but not vice versa the milk into the US lantern)
so heres some photos
i thought in particular for the UK, this might allow the unit to be used in other applications like a loco lantern-adding a wire bail, painting white or brass etc, and still
