I having a hard time to get it prototypical correct.
Just finished the motor home (making electric) and now i am busy with the wheels, but i think there is something wrong between the (estimated)drawing and the actual size.
800px-Parovoz_AA_razmeri.jpg

this is one of many drawings btw, but this one is the most clear to post/share, all come from one "estimated drawing" that is my suspicion/thinking
I have a suspicion that the drawings are a bit off, there measurements.
If the wheels where indeed 1 meter 60 in diameter(according to the drawing) and the average Russian man in 1935 was 1 meter 75 than take a close look on this picture:

Oke the diameter of 1 meter 60 could be the outside of the wheel and 170 at the inside of the wheel.
If you look at that mans hand the wheels are not 20 cm thick more like 30 cm.
I have a suspicion that the wheel are a bit bigger in diameter: 1 meter 75 minimum....
This could mean that the length of the locomotive is 5 to 7.5% bigger....
Could mean the total length was not 33.70 but 35.40 up to 36.22
Could mean i have to start all over...no problem here, i just want to have it really prototypical correct, yes i am beyond help/medication as we say in the Netherlands
Some one has a idea about this?

No dont even try to google, you wont find more than i already have(wish you good luck if you want to do a search), except if you can translate some Russian pictures for me into English or German to English(some data), you would make me VERY happy....V E R Y V E R Y H A P P Y.
with best regards and many thanks in advance, Igor

Hi Igor,

A couple of observations on wheel size. The wheel diameter, 5'5" called out in Timmo's drawing in Post 2 converts to 165 cm. The distance between driver axles, 5' 5 15/16" matches exactly that shown in your drawing, 167.5 cm. The wheels on axles 1 and 2 and 6 and 7 have flanges so, the wheel diameter must be less than 167.5 cm! My best guess is that the 5'5" diameter, 165 cm, shown in Post 2 is over the wheel flanges and your information, 160 cm is the nominal wheel diameter at the tread and both are correct.

I think you are right about the wheel thickness of the blind drivers we see in the photo. They probably are wider than the flanged drivers just to make sure they stay on top of the rails on curves. This is what I see in the photo. The tread of the flanged drivers appear about the same width as the rail head. The blind driver tread is much wider and overhangs the rail head on both the inside and outside.

Igor it is certainly likely as Phil says that the blind wheels would be thicker. The English 9f has a centre blind driver but I cannot find a pic, however the Harz 2-10-2’s also have a blind centre driver and in the cruel blow up below you can make out that there is a difference.
