Nice running engine after Rod Blakeman set the standards a couple of years ago with an improved steam feed.

More recent aids include a RC installation which fits well into the large cab giving easy thottle control, fwd/Reverse and a spendid whisltle (every engine should have one)

The Cowans Sheldon railway lifting crane was made by Roger Marsh based on the original made by Cowans of Carlisle (Crane makers to the world) Alas no more!
The model is powered by re chargable batteries with lifting jib and 90 degree swing. Stablisers on both sides screw down on to wooden blocks giving the capacity to lift (a small) loco..

Ooooh - what a beautiful shot. Where's the "lusting after one of those" smiley?

Oh yes - yesyesyes! faaantastic crane, just exquisite. I recall seeing a 15 inch gauge one a few years ago, I think Ernie Cheeseman built it, it was on display at the Ratty on an open day - I love rail cranes! It didn't have such a gorgeous paint job though, it was shop grey.

That photo has brightened my day

Wasn't that the crane that was on GSM a couple of years back lifting a loco?Very impressive.....
