Well this isn't official yet but work has been going on behind the scenes to see if a circa 1963 version of Caledonia can be made available in both live steam and electric.

As you can see from the photograph she carried unlined Indian Red at the time, the same colour as the rest of the fleet, but was very dirty due to only getting used for snow plough duties.

Correct genuine 1960's Indain Red has been obtained and matched ready for the model of Peveril due out in late 2011, however it is felt it would be nice to give this colour as an option on Cale' as well. The model would have the various bits picked out in Black as per the photograph, supply your own dirt and snow ploughs!

It is planned the name and number plates would be supplied loose in the box so if anyone wanted to use a Red Cale' for "non IMR" purposes they could do.

What do you think?

Thanks to Trevor Nall for use of the photograph from his collection.
