Accucraft Shay steaming in the backwoods

I finally had the chance to make a video of my new Accucraft Shay. After seeing two Shay's running on my layout a month ago, I decided I had to get one. Thanks to all the overtime I worked recently I was able to purchase one from Jay.
Im still learning how to drive it and get the gas and air flow just right. The wind did not help. Im also using a new movie maker program and learning the features. Set up much different then my old computer.

Now just need a chuffer in it.

That looks excellent Shawn - the Shay is just perfect for your railway!

I bet it looks quite large next to the Crickets.....

Hey, now that is a lovely little loco Shawn. A friend, who is a member on the forum (Marshman), has the electric version with a good sound system and it is a lovely thing to watch.
The steam version looks like great fun to run and it is right at home on your line.
I could hear the sound of frying sausages...were you having a BBQ while running or was the crackling and popping coming from the smoke stack?

I think your overtime payments have been put to very good use with that Accy Shay Shawn. As usual a superlative video.
Yes Mike, they do make one heck of a sizzling sound with those cylinders pumping away at speed as they progress around the track. The 3 cylinder one will make you think 2 BBQ's are on the go. They also put up an impressive plume of steam too. Never heard one with a chuff pipe though. Now that could annoy the neighbours.
