Hi I am trying to fine a bogie for my wooden EMD SW900 locomotive, the problem is the bogie that Im finding are to long short or to tall, the bogie needs to be 3 in long between the axle.
The closest I could find is a USA Trains R22-12, which is slightly too tall.

Not a lot of options for RTR bogies, however the Swift 16 kit does make up to a low bogie that is actually lower than the wheels and can be extended in length. You would need to add track pickups if you want that, and perhaps some resisters for the motor unless you wire 2 powered bogies in series.

You may be better going for something like the Appletree axle-hung motors, and fabricating your own bogie?
You would get drive on both axles, which will aid traction. - I am guessing you only have one powered bogie (truck)?

Try ‘Fosworks’ who make a range of two and three axle bogies for 10mm Scale diesel locos.
They are I believe basic so I don’t think they have detailed side frames.

However the way they are constructed allows relative ease in fitting side frames. No pictures yet on his site for 3 or 4 axle bogies.
