I was just thinking where I had seen this before ...

.... and (with the usual disclaimers concerning length, exact design etc) realised I´d seen something with a similar "feel" to it at Tywyn on the Talyllyn last Saturday.
 
Nice one, Alec. Like the colour scheme especially. I've been on the lookout for another rake of coaches which won't break the bank.
Do you reckon bogies could be fitted or is it too short? I still have a few R1s

I quite like the look of the 3 compartment panelled coach - and at less than £30 ......... !!

I can certainly understand the need to shorten the wheelbase, but what purpose does the plywood strip serve?

Think you will find the under-frame has been cut in the middle, to take the inch out.. The extra bit of ply is 'belt and braces' on the joint.

It's just that the strip appeared to have been cut and glued (and looks to be lazer cut).
 
I have seen these kits on the Andel web site, and would dearly like to get hold of a couple to join the fleet.

Does anyone know how to contact Andel. I have tried their web response thingy and had no reply, I have emailed and had no reply (not even an out of office message). I have tried to text the mobile phone number on their website unsuccessfully. I have tried ringing the mobile and get cut off immediately.

Or have I missed my chance completely to get hold of these good looking and economic kits.
