Getting a bit frustrated trying to find a simple, I just want to stich clips together, video editor to use with my Samsung andriod tablet. Tried a couple and they are just too complicated or just plain annoying as they try to determine where edits should go and you end up with a jerky chopped up incoherent load of rubbish - Go pro Quick for example.

It's frusrating as I've discovered I can download directly now, without the need for slow cumbersome software, to You Tube but their "creator's studio" (now there's a misnomer) offers no facility to bolt your clips together to form one video - or am I missing something here. You can tell I'm a bit behind the times with this sort of thing. Help ! Max

Max,
I seam to remember a very helpful youtube vid showing how to edit, clip and join varying vids from within youtube. Looks like one of those things that will be a devil to get to grips with but once you have you will wonder what all the worry was about. With your two clips it may be worth a go.

Thanks Jon. Well, I found a number of "tutorials", all with a number of truly irritating stuttering repedetive unscripted voice overs. Each time I tried to replicate what they were showing me I noticed that what was on their screen did not match what was on mine. Eventually came a cross a tutorial that told me the feature I was being shown. and the path to it, had been "retired" in 2017. Why did You Tube retire the feature ? Not enough people were using it !:banghead::banghead::banghead::swear::swear::swear: Back to the drawing board, Max

P.S. I get fed up with developers who have to over complicate things, because they just have to include every flashing light, bell and whistle, and end up with an unusable product. At least for numpties like me.

Sorry, this sounds a lot like DCC! :(

Which is why I have recently acquired a very much analogue Loco with a DC friendly sound card  (bells whistles but no flashing lights). Just working out the reed switch activation of the some of the sounds and positioning of said switches and track magnets.

But I digress - back to the plot - how do I splice together separate You Tube, or otherwise, video clips ? Max
