I was asked at our local G Scale Society meeting if it was possible to have a battery powered loco that would stay at a constant speed and not speed up downhill and slow down uphill.
The member wanted to set his engine going and watch it go round and round, unfortunately since his track is not flat this is not easily possible.
Currently his engine has a standard battery install with ESC and a model aircraft style controller.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get an ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) suitable for a G scale engine with BEMF (Back EMF) control?
I did some goggling but didn't come up with anything.
Since BEMF control is available in DCC decoders I think I could easily do what the member wanted via a DCC decoder, Tam receiver and transmitter. However it would be easier just to replace the existing ESC.
Can anyone help?
