It would have to be the Pittsburgh one for me if I was into such things.
Cheers Garry

Travelled on them in a few North American cities and even driven one at Baltimore Streetcar Museum!

May be too much wallet damage to buy one in the UK though........

$249 US plus postage selling out fast. The RDC sold out in days and no rerun for two years !! Not found a UK dealer but its the Streetcar I Desire.

A street car called desire then.........................................

The UK Bachmann web site quotes Jan/Feb (presumably 2011) for delivery of the PCC cars, but we all know that those dates quoted are sometimes arbitrary. Their price mentions £284 but there will be some retailers - and I guess we all know who they are as they frequently get good mention here - will sell for less.

u can kitbashing and sctachbuilt a ppc tram car.....

Kent Garden Railways says they have 3 on order and they are listed as £197 each. I cant find anyone else selling them at all.
They havent said what liveries they are but I have provisionally reserved one. Fingers crossed.

I got a street area and Iam trying to convince myself that it would work with a trolley line through it, the overhead would be dummy,

Well, I have to say that a dummy overhead is much better than none. The problem for many might be animals and their propensity for damage. ;)

I wouldn't worry about damaging too many animals..................

Where on earth are that ropey collection of PCC cars? Are they the ones for the proposed scheme in Brooklyn, NY, which never happened.....

Most of the ones still running in the US are well looked after!!

They are or were at RedHook Brooklyn, as the cash had run out they were abandonned in the street, apparentlt there has been $10million now allocated to start the scheme
proper, there was also a few more in the Brooklyn Navy Yard

Thanks for that. I did see some of the ex Cleveland (Shaker Heights) cars being loaded at the Buffalo (NY) Light Rail depot back in 2001 which were supposedly destined for the Brooklyn scheme.

One of the women involved with the Brooklyn scheme did pay us a visit at the Ipswich Transport Museum several years ago when she was on a tour of UK museums.

Added some 5 hrs or so after the above, and back to the model version - I've been told that £197 is actually the listed wholesale price for that model in the UK, so if that's what they are being sold for, it's a bargain!!!!!
UK RRP is described as £296 - at which price, they can forget it!! (or I take a bigger suitcase to the US in June..........I'll be going past St Aubin at Woodstock in my travels, and they are doing it at US$197 + taxes!!!)

Though to be honest, I preferred driving their Peter Witt car shown below. At least I've got an HO model of one of these!
