Does anybody know what voltage the internal light bulbs are? If they are 12volt I might get some at the Auto Factors ;D

Full track voltage 18V I'd have thought. I've not seen any voltage dropping electronics in mine.

Oh hang on - I'm thinking of my heavyweight coaches. George Schreyer reckons the bulbs in those (larger bulbs than the Sierra) are only 14v.

Are your Sierra coach lights track powered or 9V battery? My pair of Sierras are from a start set, being the simpler version with no interiors nor lights. The underframe has mouldings for lights and smoke switches but no sign of a battery compartment?

Replacement bulbs for Sierra coaches and caboose marker lights are part 29502, sold in packs of 10.
Still not seen any mention of voltage yet.
Bachmann uk website says they have 29502 in stock at £14

Hi Nick - thanks for the info (never thought of Bachmann).

Edit;
I forgot to answer your question re; battery or track - the Sierra cars I'm working with at the moment are track powered. I do have some others that are basic. I'm trying to remove the friction element of track pick-up so I acquired a couple of LGB bearing fitted axles. I have an LGB drover's caboose that I thought of robbing a further two axles. It's just the question of the bulbs.

Well I've ordered 30 bulbs off a German ebay shop - half the price of the Aristo ones. Should be here in a few days.
