A well balanced, functional and attractive gas fired model suitable for G1 running.
This is an easy engine to drive being predictable and flexible. It's steaming capabilities will surprise you with its hauling capacity on level track.
The gas tank will give a lengthy run and the engine maintains good steam pressure when running against the axle pump.
Open the bypass only for short periods as the boiler is easily topped up.
You have to see the video to appreciate it's performance..

In the video you have presumably correctly called it an Accucraft. I wondered whether Aristo ever made live steamers...

A beautiful model and it looks good in front of that long goods train through the sweeping curves.

Very nice Trevor :D had a look at there latest model at Llanfair model of the NW J class 4-8-4 looked a real beast . I see your line has had a make over do you still run gauge 3 or just gauge 1 now .

Hi Richie
My line is totally new. The old one was 15 years old and became a liability with constant maintenance and uneven running.
The latest has a strong wooden infrastructure set into 'metposts' with a good quality heavy roofing felt, heat shrank onto the top ply making a complete level railway.
New railways are not cheap and to give you an idea I needed 76 'metposts' at £9.00 each. (That's before you get off the ground!
There are two G1/ G scale lines which are both electrified for both analog and digital plus live steam, and the G3 is the line on the outer which is independent to the rest. The G3 is mainly live steam but I do get folk running with battery power.

I have tried to keep turn outs to a minimum with GRS making some brilliant well balanced designed points with frogs that can take both G1 Aster stuff together with large scale Accucraft type. I have even retained some R5 LGB points but through running on the straight section rather than the curve. The curve is for switching from the steaming and electrical prep area to the main line. The prep area is split into isolated blocks with electrical expertise provided by Neil Robinson......

Hi Trevor
That's a lot of posts must have taken a bit of work to knock them all in but I must say the end results look very nice :D
