Even though I am going over wholesale to battery and live steam operation I still think I will keep my 18 year old faithful unit and Crest transformer. Could come in handy when testing stuff on the workbench without having a battery pack to hand. Could come in handy with an 009 layout if I get carried away and need a walk around unitI. recently sold my fairly fresh spare unit, with transmitter, on here to a fellow forumite who had suffered a failure with one of theirs. The old TE still seems to have its fans. Max
