I recognize that these big Aster American steamers are not every ones 'cup of tea'.
Apart from the size and limited railway space in which you can run them, they are like most Aster stuff pretty expensive.
Having said that I can think of some large gscale engines that would not seem out of place standing next to the S2 on the shed road.
Lets face it, the K27 and K28 live steamers could give it 'a run for it's money and also the Garrats for that matter. Also they are just as expensive although they are designed to go round your curves. Just watch the sides though as they will demolish line side stuff without blinking http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku41bjWpFRc
Anyhow I hope you enjoy the video (and all that spare steam!) If you are a bit short on your engine I will bottle some up for you and post it to you. (joke for those that only run on 25psi)

If it's live steam, it's my cup of tea! Great stuff.

What I really enjoyed in the vid was the 'typical live steam conversation' when one of the conversants runs off to tend his steamer as it whizzes past.. :rolf:

What a great loco Trevor, it does make the Roundhouse engines seem a bit on the small side.
I am sure they are well worth the money, but unless its radio controlled wouldnt suit our inclines, so I suppose our next job will be a longer and level seperate run for them...then save up!

Very nice Trevor:thumbup:

Old Tom has a point here. Although we have a very small gathering shown in the video it does illustrate the situation where an engine rushes by and the owner makes an adjustment with a deft movement of the hand on a casual basis whilst still in converation on some railway matter or other with a colleague.
There is no point in RC when you are not even watching it running!!
