I just wanted to share the two new arrivals at the Loco Shed
First to arrive just over a month ago was a DJB conversion Coal fired Ragleth,"Lord Monty" A Great runner and what a way to get the real coal bug than this loco, this is my second coal fired loco, simple to fire and great fun, I was advised to get a gas fired Ragleth first, run it and let the running gear bed in, and then off to Paul at DJB for the full

conversion, a great service provided by DJB and all for a very reasonable price. also purchasing the loco first allowed me to add some extra detail to the model.
Second to arrive was "Lady Sasha" a Roundhouse Karen, so why Gas and Coal I here you ask? well each has it's place, again a great loco as you would expect, chunky in build and being the model has the Managements name sake "karen"permission to purchase was the easiest yet.

Two very smart looking arrivals. Look forward to seeing them in action - steaming, that is. - (Hmm, that's still a bit ambiguous!)

A really nice pair of locos TL. I have had a coal fired Ragleth for some time and also have a gas fired R/C Karen on order. As you say it is horses for courses and both these models run very well indeed. I am looking forward to detailing the Karen and indeed I spent some time looking over the original last Monday.
