Other 'reliable information from Wikipedia': Avers is the highest year round inhabited settlement in Europe. August has most rainfall, 150mm (6 inches) average. Population of all villages now down to 171 (2011). Significant proportion over 60 years old. Only 4.1% (2008) non Swiss!! German is the official language.
