hi everyone -does anyone know -this says 1-20.3 scale on the box -is this correct and if it is what was it modelled on -seems a weird size with small wheels-nice finish mind -regards to all
There is often confusion, by Bachmann, on some of their cheaper items. If this car is the 95355 model then, and judging by its price quoted on the Bachmann web site, it will be part of the Big Hauler range 1:22.5. Not bad models. They can be improved but their advantage is there is not much to break off them.

I think you will find that Bachmann have made a flat car , low sided gondola and box car in 1:20.3 which our of 20ft in length old time freight cars which look good with the old time 4-4-0 loco's but would look silly next to a K-27 . They are nice models for the money i have a 20ft box car which has metal fittings and steps .
I believe the small 20-footers were inspired by napkin drawings penned by the 'Bach-man' (Ray De......x). They were either imaginary or based on a very small prototype as mentioned by Steve.
The 'Bach-man' is more than an administrator on the Bachmann forum, but also makes most of their prototypes and determines final paint schemes to present to the Chinese manufacturers to reproduce.
