Bachmann Bogies

Hi,
Does any one know where I can obtain Bachmann Bogies?
I specifically need Bogies for the Jackson & Sharpe big hauler range. I've used a set from one of my coaches and would like to replace them.

The coaches turn up pretty regularly on ebay , in many liveries ,so you could keep an eye out for a cheap one & just swap the bogies.

Otherwise, have you tried Steve at Back2Bay6 or Kent Garden Rail, or even GRS at princes Risborough?

Hi Andrew
Do you have a pic of the type you are after
I have a mixed collection of spare bogies
happy to have a look, see if i have any

Hi Rob

Could you also be kind enough to see if you've got one of these with 24.5mm wheels for me please?

Hi,
You need the passenger stock bogies - LGB make them and they are identical, You will also need some wheels as well, and the Bachmann larger size are the ones to buy.

The second bogie is the one from the Bachmann 'shorty' boxcars etc, it is not the standard archbar design, and has a much shorter wheelbase, and has smaller wheels (24mm instead of 30mm diameter) . They are rarher rare, and there is, alas, no LGB equivalent, ther is fro the standard archbar design though.

Hi Rob,

That's a fine offer, thanks.

I've uploaded an image of the bogie in question.

I've also uploaded an image of the vehicle for which the bogies were stolen....
The vehicle was built by my father (sadly, no longer with us) to, as far as I can establish, 15mm scale.
Moreover, Dad seems to have been using 15mm scale long before it became popular!!! The only drawback to me is was he built to standard gauge, hence the re-bogie.

Hi Mike
I had a quick look when you posted
Didn't see any in the box i have most of these in, but i now need to sort out all my spares and cash in a few bits :crying:, as the financial controller has decreed :bleh: that any more expenditure on train related items must be self funded .
So i will have another good look in the next day or so.
I def have not got the wheels though, looking for 20 odd pairs my self, and have a box of these on back order from 3 dif suppliers, Bachmann seem to have stopped sending them and the larger dia ones to the UK for some reason.

Am looking at importing some from the USA, but prob going for larger dia, like the
Roll-Ez from San Val

Will let you know
