Baguley Drewery Body Removal

Good Afternoon All,
Can anyone advise me as how to remove the body from the new version (metal chassis) of the Accucraft Baguley Drewery.

I've had a quick peek at the loco but as I am still working from home until later ;) I haven't had a chance to study it in depth but there I can't see any fixing screws that are immediately obvious just a couple of clips behind the front steps.

Initial impressions are that it is a good looking heavy loco and I look forward to running it and adding a few details later.

Quite simple, just two screws. Spotting them is a little more tricky, they are in line with the front of the cab, up inside the chassis. The body just slides back and unhooks at the front.

Getting them back in is great fun also. I used a suitable screwdiver and held a magnet on it (rather than magnetise the driver)
 
Thanks Bob; now I know where to look they are easier to spot but still tricky to get to.

Be even more of a pain to access if I change the loco to 32mm gauge.
 
I don't plan on taking them out too often. :bigsmile::bigsmile:
 
Next question... I know that this loco is usually used as a basis for battery power but has anyone fitted a decoder for use on dcc and if so what make/model did you choose?
I see in the specification that the loco is suitable for 0-24v power supply so I take it that I can safely use it with an LGB power supply and it will be compatible (once a decoder is fitted) with my MTS too.

If it's any help Chris, I'm running mine on 14.4v and it has enough power to pull a 36 axle train up a 1:40.
 
Be careful taking the body off.
On one example I have here for battery R/C conversion the plastic hooks at the front were force fitted into the slots making the hood very stiff to remove.
Once I got the top off I slimmed down the hooks so that it will be easier to remove and put back in the future.

I've had it up both on track and on rollers powered by my LGB 5003.
Needs some running in but very happy with it so far.
