In the current Steam Railway (494) there is a round up and pretty current picture of them all. As I managed to see 3 of them when in the USA in 1994 I though I would where my pictures with you. They make an interesting comparison to how the 3 of them they were now. You will have to look at the Mag to see the difference.
4006 Museum of Transport St Lois.
The condition of this one has certainly improved some with general routine painting and maintenance since being preserved. My pics shows some rust around the Slidebars that does not show up in the Steam Railway Picture. This was my first sight of a Big Boy and to say that I was overwhelmed is indeed an understatement.
4005 Denver Museum.
I spied this one stored outside at a Tram Museum in Denver, sadly it was not in a location where any picture could be obtained. Currently listed as being in the Forney Transportation Museum Denver and the picture shows her well displayed at this site.
4004 Holiday Pary Wyoming
My third and finally seen one (to date). I remember being keen to get a complete Locomotive broadside of this one and remember having to walk an awfully long way back. Fortunately the Park was big enough to allow this as the Pic shows. The current Picture shows her as being little changed so unlike many exhibits in the Open Air or in Parks this one appears to be well cared for.
My own pictures from the recent Big Boy fest in Wyoming and Utah. 4014 and 844 at Ogden and Evanston, 4005 at the Forney Museum Denver and 4004 at Holiday Park Cheyenne.
