Hello,
My name is Pierre and I live in France. I want to play with G scale trains but unfortunately I'm a real newbie in this scale. I must learn a lot and this forum seems to be the right place. Anyway, I'm very proud to be a new member of this forum. Regards,
Pierre

Hello...welcome to the mad house

Welcome to GSC, Pierre, you'll get a lot of help and advice here (plus some less-helpful bits of rather British humour sometimes!)..... ;)

Anything you want to know, just ask and someone will come up with the answer for you.

Jon.

Thank you all for your warm welcome. I just want to play with my trains. I'm not going for realism and I'm not a rivet counter (mostly because I only have ten fingers :giggle: ).

Don't worry, I think that any rivet-counters on here were scared off years ago, or their heads exploded when they saw things like 1/29 scale American locos pulling 1/22 European wagons (that sort of thing is just fine with most folks on here). There are some people here who only like to run the "correct" trains on their layouts, and that is fine too, there is room here for everyone!

We all "play trains", it's just that we try to fool people (and sometimes ourselves) by saying we're "running", "operating" or the old favourite, "testing".....!

Jon.

Welcome Pierre!
Funny things happen on the Forum..
We like pictures, as well. So feel free to post some once you start 'playing'! ;)

welcome, Pierre.

jump right into your train interest and learn as you go.

what trains, etc. do you like and wish to pursue?

Bienvenue Pierre. Not sure if Beynac is where you're from, but it's a beautiful town.

Rik
