:)

Piccies I have in other books as well, It is the 'funny-for-ig-eine' text I have the real problem with!! :(

My copy typing is not up to inputting large tracts of German text into the computer..

With modern 'print on demand', it ought to be possible to produce an English text book (or several) on the Harz system.. I am sure there are enough English speaking (reading?) punters out there to make a little from it??

Why do people constantly refer to this railway as the broken line? It seems to be in fine health to me climbing the Brocken mountain. :nerd:
Nowt to do with gay cowboys... :giggle:

As it says on the cover, this book is volume 2 - there appear to be three books in the series, from Studio Volker Schadach, book 1 is about the Harz network in general ("Schmalspurbahnen Im Harz") and book 3 is about the Selketalbahn ("Die Selketalbahn Im Harz"). All three are by the same author, Friedrich Metge. The odd thing is that of the copies I have, all purchased in one second-hand lot, volumes 1 and 2 have the bilingual German/English text, but my copy of volume 3 is all in German.
Anyone know if there is an alternative bilingual printing of vol.3? It's odd that the publisher would change that for the final volume.... the imprint details show that they were all published (or at least copyright dated) 1996/97.

Apologies for the slight thread hijack (though still talking about the books) - I figured that as Phil had already jumped in to buy then it a little bit of drift wouldn't be a problem....

Jon.
