My father got into railway modelling in the very late 1940's/early 50's and I followed him for a time some years later. His final piece of work was the model of Bakewell Station which forms part of the Midland Railway layout in the Derby Museum of Making. Over the years we collected a few railway modelling books, and when I took on responsibility for the Museum's wagon stock in the early '80's I went into O gauge Midland in a big way and built up a layout and a collection of books mainly by the likes of Bob Essery, Bill Hudson and David Jenkinson, all of whom I met briefly. Eventually after my father's demise I decided that the attic layout would be better replaced by the garden, and so I am now well settled with my outdoor G layout. Which leaves me with a collection of books I feel I can say farewell to with a clear conscience. If anyone in the UK thinks I might have anything of interest, please let me know via a pm and I will send a list once I have sorted out what I hope will be acceptable prices.
