I've got the chance of obtaining a rather careworn 32mm gauge one of these locos and was wondering if anyone has been able to convert the 32mm wheelsets to 45mm without obtaining a new set of wheels from the manufacturer?
Brandbright don't appear to sell individual axles for this loco and the only option appears to be a complete new chassis which isn't worth it, given the condition of the loco!

You could always have a bit of dual gauge track Steve?

Or lay a short length of 32 mm track.

I've a few old lengths you can have....

The loco came with a lot of 32mm track and rolling stock, as it is actually part of a donation of 32mm garden railway to the Transport Museum to raise funds from someone who has dismantled their layout !
There were a couple of Bachmann G coaches in amongst the stock, one in good condition and one very bad, so I purchased those myself for future "projects", but was tempted by the shunter as well, providing it is easy (+ not expensive) to regauge. I have have had a closer look since posting the original note, and the wheels can move on the axles, but they are too short to regauge to 45mm.

No room in the garden for a 32mm line as well, now that all the 45mm track is down!

Well if Brandbright don't have the parts for re-gauging, then it's dual gauge track for you Steve?

Unless Tony W can use it on the 32 mm track on his layout at the Museum....

I think the height of the loco cab would take out his lighthouse as it tried to pass underneath!

It's a big brute then?

Is is battery or track power....

It's about the same size as my IP Engineering "Jessie" - i.e. 14 cm from rail head to top of cab, and it's battery powered.

TW's 32mm circuit is configured for his Lister and side tipper cars only, so there is insufficient clearance under the lighthouse that spans the tracks, from memory.
