Well, after weeks of testing the bridges and extension to the line, the day finally arrived when the bridge was "officially" opened. The line's 1865 ex-Nappa Valley Paycar was used with a gondola behind.

The opening ceremony is also reported in the line's Ox Mountain thread.

Thanks both of you. The sunshine was great, the wind not so! The bunting was a moderate success - it even fluttered in the breeze - the figures not so!

p.s. regarding your close clearance problem - I had to dismantle, raise the roof an inch and re-assemble my tunnel to get enough clearance for my Camel(back) :impatient:

And, as for dismantling tunnels, I'd need a windy pick or a sledge hammer to do that - easier to take the carving knife to the diesel

REALLY Don't want to steal your thunder here Mick you've done a brilliant job.... but until I get a film made (weather isn't permitting) here are two pics of the tunnel rework needed for the Camel headroom - it would have been a major job to lower the cab :wits:

a few hours later it was back together but too late to get the movie sorted out!

Like the way you've made your tunnel Rob - you wouldn't know its construction from the second pic I like the camel and look forward to more views of it in action.
