Although it states G Scale on the box I guess that at 1:32 it is nearer gauge one.
This latest version ran well more or less immediately out of the box although the gas burner jet became blocked after a couple of runs. I suspect that it had picked up some 'foreign body' out of the tank which now appears to be clear.
I had heard of some problems on the earlier editions but the Chinese manufacturer is obviously a quick learner as no such problems have appeared on this model.
Anyone running this engine can expect admiring comments as the detail and ambience of the prototype has been well captured.
For 1600 (give or take) you are getting an engine which includes an easy to view water sight glass, pressure gauge. Goodall water feed. forward/reverse Stevenson valve gear, drain cocks, displacement oil feed and fitted R/C including transmitter.
It also comes with re-chargeable batteries for the servo with charging connection which can be seen on the video in the bunker (normally fitted with a coal cover.)
Please see it running on my video http://youtu.be/yL39hM4fUxU [...12/8258e230a6ea48cb9f315d66f0710e27.jpg[/IMG]

Wow that looks very nice

I like the 4MT's.

my favourt steam loco:love:

1:32 is proper Gauge 1... none of that nasty Greenly 10mm:1ft abomination.

Seen a few of these locos running in the flesh and they do seem to offer incredible value for money

mmmm.... nice
And it seems someone got a bargain on ebay earlier tonight @ £870!!!!

The 8F is also now available.

I can also confirm that the 8F is a nice model. When I get a chance here soon I am going to take some pictures and do a little review. The detailing is very good and she runs well. Wuhu is definitely improving very quickly.

Here is the 8F it pulled down to see its iner most workings.
These photos I took from a pre-production model last April.

Everything tightly compacted.

The gas sits in a water bath.

Allegedly the 4MT is an Accucraft 'nock off' that appeared after someone walked out of the factory with some drawings in their butty box.

I wonder if they have started testing, numbering, and certifying the boilers to make them both safe and legal in the UK/Europe yet? I would hate to think of the damage to the hobby (let alone the unsuspecting owner!) if one went Thudffffffssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Can anyone confirm if they have received one of these with a boiler certificate yet?

Happy steamings,

John

The engines are supplied with both boiler and gas tank test certificates. They are very well built and very different to the spirit fired, slip eccentric ones from the G1MC. I have seen a number of them in use and all ran perfectly straight from the box.

Glad to hear this Rod, looks like they have perhaps upped their game as I think an alledged lack of certificates from this manufacturer was mentiond on this forum in the past.

Happy steamings,

John
