Building New Quay on the Ardnacraish Light Railway

When I connected up the former loco shed road to the main loop, to create another route in to the main station, I was left with a couple of empty blocks where the shed had stood.

Hmm... what to do?

The back story of the ALR (see the "wee history" thread in the "Pictures" section) mentioned that the old Navy quay at Arndacraish was now used by the ALR to connect with the steamers to the Isles.
Aha! an idea was born.

A Cain Howley building bought at Peterborough, some old Pola paving, Life Like fencing and a Coopercraft nameboard produced a suitable halt:

A block of wood, Tenmille stone cladding and a plastic sheet produced the quayside to rest on the retaining wall at the front of the railway. Wooden strip was drilled though to accept plastic tubing, and capped with plastic, to give edge of the quay some railings:

Still to do - steps up to the quay and a foot crossing from the halt.
