Car overhang on curves...............

On tight radius curves with looooong passing cars, I never really understood the need to increase track spacing until I saw this tram picture.
I have some R1 curves with 32 inch long cars.
12 inch track spacing works OK on curves and I use 6 inches on the straights.
Derailments are a hard learning tool.

To undrestand the issue try slowly with a pencil or other type of marker on both tracks to see where the issues are. Your marker should be held on the outermost part of your train going forwards, plus middle so 2 paeese..
