Cattle wagons

Accucraft have promised some of the W&L cattle wagons (including a data only grey version) shortly, if that helps. Should be better than anything I could build myself!

I've not got plans as such but I have described how I constructed a couple of cattle wagons based on W&LLR prototypes from plasticard using LGB chassis on my blog .......

.... if that's any use

A lot of use, actually.
That's one of the best build logs I've read in a while.
Few people really take the trouble to show every stage, so I, for one, appreciate both the build and the amount of effort put into the log. Its so tempting to go and build a cattle wagon.

Thanks Rik.

It's an excellent "How To " as good as any I've seen anywhere but i shall wait for the Accucraft ones.

Ive got plans of the w&l ones along with pics. If your interested drop me a pm with your e mail address.

Si

Ps. The ip engineering kit is not bad.

Great guide on the ip kit Rik :) I've been diliberating over some wagon kits and was beginning to steer away from the ip ones because of the lack of brake gear, but that is a very neat solution

Thanks - It's only cosmetic of course - one day I might get around to making something a bit more realistic.

Thanks guys. I read the blog before posting very good thanks. Just need to have a plan to work off.
My main problem is how to attach the body to the chassis.
Also need to see some ng chassis for reference.

A selection of IOM cattle wagons, top two are IP Engineering kits with full brake gear, bottom two are scratchbuilds, I've probably got a plan somewhere if you want it

I'll see if I can find the plan and pm you cyclone
The lettering is a mix of hand painted on the scratchbuilds and EMA Heritage IOM wagon Lettering decals on the IP kits, not sure if he has any sheets left as they were limited edition for the IOM15milgroup
Look up IOM15milgroup.com, in the workshop or warehouse sections
