Guys,
I picked up two wooden buildings from The Range (store) a couple of days ago for a Tenner each.
They're actually bird feeders to be hung up in the garden. So they should be reasonably weatherproof.
They are a bit whimsical looking but could always be customised to your requirements.
After removing the hanging cord from the roof they are ready to use on the layout.
As for scale, I have shown them in-situ with a couple of Playmobil figures. They look OK to me!
