Chinese tank wagons.

Has anyone seen the Chinese tank wagons being offered by Glendale Junction? What is the quality like? If anyone has one, could they measure the height above rail for me?

If these are the Amax/Nequida jobbies then they're pretty much the same dimensions as the LGB tankers.

The quality is no where near as good, some need a bit of fettling to get em running right, but for 19 quid they're OK. Cheap respray/kitbash fodder or stick Bachmann metal wheels on and run em as they are.

The new black ones that TwoJags is offering on evilBay are very nice - usual minor quality hiccups that you always expect with Newqida items (a few loose bits that needed reattaching), but they are painted in a nice satin black with fairly generic white and red logo square, much less toy-like than the paintjobs on the earlier ones (and no silly "Chinglish" decals saying SHALL or similar) - I bought four recently, well worth it even after you've added the cost of some Bachmann metal wheels to them.
