connie stripped gears

hello peeps... my connies stripped its teath,,, both the axel and double gear busted

does any one stock the delrin gears for it in the uk, and any idea of cost,,

will i have to go to backmann for the double gear???

any thaughts greatly noted,,,

In the first instance get in touch with Bachmann, they're usually pretty good at sorting out spares if they're available.

I hope your problem's not been caused by a loose motor mounting? There was a lot of talk and advice around on the net about checking and tightening up the motor on the Connie when it first came out. I checked mine when I first got it and (fingers crossed) it's been fine so far.

motor seemed fine,,, axel gear cracked all over but also the gear it meshes with is biffed too,,,

i like the connie but this has had no run time,,, and its now stripped down to modify,,,

want to change the front end and tender,,,, change it around a bit etc

If Bachmann doesn't come trough then Barry of Barry's big trains make a replacement as this is not an uncommon event with this loco.

yes i know rune,,, i expected one gear broken but didnt expect the double gear to be badgered aswell

may have to give bachmann a bell,,,,,,,

barrys big train are a bit expensive,, not that there not worth it,,, its only a connie,,

so i will go the cheepo option for now,,
