Converting Playmobil light signals (https://playmodb.org/setpics/4/4397.jpg) from battery to transformer power

I have some of these Playmobil light signals - https://playmodb.org/setpics/4/4397.jpg - which I would lijke to convert to re mote controlled on/off signals (in their original state, they are operated by a switch in the top and stay on for about 30secs before turning off automatically). I amsure a member has posted about how to do this, but I cannot find the thread.
