Cyclone's Visit to Charnwood

We had the privilege of Cyclone visiting us today with his excellent Ragleth. It's always nice to have visitors with engines to run and fitted in nicely with the CFR fleet in action. For a small engine, she pulled one heck of a load and looked nice with the SR wagons from Accucraft. Now Cyclone has found us, we look forward to seeing him and his stock again in the future!

Busy Day on St.Bernards Workbench!

That was a very nice DJB whistle on 'Millie', I shall have to look into getting mine working again!

The weather was very kind to us, warm when the sun was out and not to windy. It was nice to have two visiting locomotives and we look forward to more tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone at Charnwood.
Made me feel very welcome on my first ever visit.
Great photos. Thanks.
It's a lovely line, very smooth with nice gradients that really got the chuff out of the loco.
Really enjoyed it and would be honoured to visit again...and again.

Some super pictures there, the train of L&B goods wagons must be larger than could have been run in reality:thumbup::thumbup:thanks for sharing.

Great photos Scott - I wish I was closer!
Is that a PineTree Sandy River I see there....?
Cheers
Chris

Yes it was Chris. We were greatly impressed by the Summerlands Chuffer in Cyclones lovely locomotive. The bark as the locomotive made its way through the cuttings was simply sublime.

This is indeed an excellent railway that I came across during a visit to the Great Central last year. A superb ambassador for garden railways and attracting a lot of attention from the visitors.

Thanks for the praise Tag. It is very much appreciated. Over the Easter Holidays we operated a drive Thomas and Friends event for youngsters to experience the delights of garden railways. We had plenty of budding(excuse the pun) engineers.

Thanks Chris! We had some good Summerlands sounds on Monday with trains working the heavy loads. I'm sure you will have already seen the video that Pine Tree posted which unfortunately has no sound. I shall have to do another video with original sound track to hear the delights of a Summerlands Chuffer with a hard working engine on my mixed goods train!

Always aim to please and thanks again for your kind words in Garden Rail. I shall have to throw something together for you when the next batch of exams are out the way!

Well that is nice to hear Casey - thank you - and at least it means that I am there in 'spirit' :)
Cheers
