So you have bought a piece of tech. without downloading what instructions there are, or knowing how to use it?

Instructions at this price you must be joking.
EN is enable.
When enabled, unit works else in low power standby mode.
Depends on how it was set up, usually need + to enable, most don't have it.
You can use a 10k resistor from EN to +, a switch to connect EN to 0v will turn it off. Low power way to disable your sound boards.

What does the En port do, some sort of enable?
Isn't it the port that provides the current in English.

Doesn't help you, I'm afraid, but if you need similar items again, check out self-contained converters to spec LM2596S, which are about £1.60 each (eg eBay and Amazon) and are ideal for complete novices like me as they are clearly marked In/Out + and - These can be easily tuned by screwing the pot to set the output voltage too.

hi Philip, no i have downloaded all the the info the seller supplied .the en connection is not explained in the info

Here's one I bought earlier. DC-DC buck, adjustable (the little brass screw on top of the blue block). Just hitch up your voltmeter to the output and set to the required voltage. There is a version that has a neat little LED display fitted, so you can read the output voltage directly from there. Bought on Ebay. Hope this helps. Max
