Decoder identification

I`ve just stripped this decoder from a loco that the owner wishes to revert to analogue operation.
He isn`t the original owner so the past history of the loco is unknown.

I suspect it may be a Digitrax DG583S but the only visible code on the board is GX83-R2 as shown in one image.

I`d like confirmation of the decoder`s identity and version if there are more than one versions.

Any experiences of using this with European, e.g. LGB Massoth, systems would also be welcome.

It is indeed a Digitrax DG583S.
They are fine with any DCC system.
I use a couple of Digitrax decoders and they are absolutely OK with Massoth system.
This is a high power variety (5 amps with 10 amp stall rating).

If you do not want it I know a good home...............
