Dingle Leigh Railway Revisited

Hi folks
Dingle Leigh? Those with good memories will remember that I filmed David Turner's superb Dingle Leigh Railway on the way to the 16mm AGM last year, and we had great plans for the revisit. Well as it happened, we talked too much and then things began to go pear shaped.The battery pack on Ragleth Owain died (an eneloop one that didn't like David's charger) in a rather spectacular way, John St James' Locobox Garratt proved to be just too big and then we ran out of time.

What I have managed to do is stitch together a little video showing David's buildings, rolling stock and scenery. There are some run pasts, some slomo, some stills, some genuine birdsong and finally some out-takes.
It doesn't really do it justice, but see what you think. You can see it here:

And on my website as usual.
Cheers

That's just plain lovely, Chris !

Battery pack failure made me laugh, same happened to me for first time the other day, took me a sec to work out what happened...never moved so damn fast when I realised no control!

Lovely video shots.

stunning railway:thumbup::love::bigsmile:

A fantastic layout with great detail. Thanks for the video, Chris.

Absolutely idyllic
lovely scenery
when I grow up I'd like my railway to be like this

Thanks for all the kind words guys - I will pass them on to David. It is a real pleasure to be able to film there and next time we will talk less and film more :D
I know David is working on the track and is planning some videos of his own so I will post the links in due course. Meanwhile here are a couple of the photos.
Cheers
Chris
