I won over the weekend this old chassis for what might be a bargain price. The seller didn't know what is was and sadly listed what I think was the boiler a day later and that went for a higher price than I was willing to pay. The boiler was a wooden clad vertical type. I'm sure I've seen the distinctive curved buff beams sometime in the past but I can't remember where or what.

Willing to be shot down in flames on this, but could it be a Peter Angus? If so you got a bargain. Motor certainly looks to be from the Boating Fraternity.

The steam motor looked good and the chain appears to be mecano to probably stretched so can be fixed or replaced with something better. A pity I didn't win the boiler but that was meths fired and looked as though it needed some work.

I've just found that you don't want to do an image search for "peter angus model" if at work, in a public place or not broad minded!!!! :o :o :o

Clearly there is more than one Peter Angus with a web presence!

Oh dear Steve, sorry about that. He does make superior Steam Loco's, not sure if he is IT Friendly! Unlike the site that you appear to have found!
