Does your Railway have a Chief Engineer?

When we were Building Andy Rush`s Ruschbahn a figure and a Lamp Standard appeared out of sundry boxes. Not sure of the 3 of us that were building the line was, but one of us suggested that these two items would form a rather nice Statue on the Ruschbahn somewhere.

So hence appeared "Heinrich von Dreck-Verschieben" the Ruschbahn Chief Engineer. I suppose that you would call him the "Brunel" of the Ruschbahn.

Here are a couple of pictures on his original line. As you can see from the Pictures, he was inclined to move around a little.





So having him on that line, when it was dismantled it seamed a shame to let the Statue go to a Skip. Hence he is now also the Chief Engineer of the Dunny Rieches Bahn.







I have to say that his view is not so grand as on the Ruschbahn. But at least he surveys his empire still. Reviewing the Pictures it looks like he could do with a little refurbishment. This will be attended to in good time.

Do any of you guys have such a Statue and what is his (Her) name if you do?

Looks good on your line, JonD! I think the figure is one of the (very old) Wimmer pewter casts that were done for LGB, the gent in the top hat and a number of other sculpts from the range have been shown on here in the past by those lucky enough to own a few of the vintage originals.
At either Stafford or the 16mmNGA do at P'boro, I noticed that someone (I honestly can't recall which trader) was actually recasting these and selling copies - the ethics of which is left as an exercise for the reader, but from a buyer's point of view it's nice that they are available again!

That is very interesting, I have no idea where Andy got the figure from nor its make. I assumed that it came from Glendale Jcn as that is where most of his G Scale Shopping was done. So beneath that grey exterior lies a Metal Figure. Must investigate sometime.
