Do we have anyone on here that knows anything about dolls houses, I am after some hinges initially for a passenger wagon door, but also coach doors later.

So far I have confused myself with some of the references folk seem to use when talking about the different sizes (in our world different scales), all I want is a couple of hinges some doors which look about the right size.

I cannae be the first person to need some hinges for rolling stock doors, so folks any clever suggestions what I should be looking for from a size reference point of view, and good suppliers, thanks :)

Easily made from small brass tube with a bit of flat brass of nickel silver around 10 thou.3 sections of tube can be cut when soldered to flat, then small wire carefully soldered at each end.

Take a trip to ‘ The Works’
Have a look at their wooden boxes. Many have fitted hinges, some very small, perhaps 15mm long, and 10mm across the hinge.
And you get a free box!

Plus some of the boxes can be made into great wagons, they cost less than buying the wood, and they're pretty much square, which I can't seem to manage.

Dolls houses use 2 main scales: 1" (1"=1ft) and 1/2" scale (1/24th or 1"=2ft). Look for the 1/2" scale hinges.
