At last I have a complete DR train. My Baggage Car has at last arrived only 13 years after LGB released the coaches.
Very similar to the 30320 SOEG van, a massive box as used with the 2 car tram set, The green is a different shade to the coaches but who knows which is correct.

Looks really good, Mike, and finishes the train nicely.
My own 'DR' branded coaches are planked (3135x) and so I'm hoping that the short-lived SOEG mould will be used produce a green version of that - although they may have been sheeted by the time this livery was applied?

But then, I've never let facts get in the way of my modelling down through the years...

  • Looking good...on my wish list...

Ditto Mike.

I have the brown one for the "hysterical" set. I concur with the finally comment. I think it is really smart and based on that thought have ordered the green one for my other set. I was slightlky disappointed on the brown one to find the dog box was painted on the side rather than detailed properly. Having said that it is still a nice set all up. It is also nice to see Marklin finally completing sets with a van. I am hoping something to finish off my Austrian set now. There is a lovely combine that would look lovely in green. :-)

I am waiting on the brown version for my hysterical set. Its on order.
I hope i havent missed the US release.

Great looking cars. Nice photos.

Hope your lucky Steve - it was a limited edition model and sold through very quickly, but i think a few dealers got in on the act so you will probably find one.

I got mine from Michael at Grootspoor. Mind you I did have to order it pretty early! While I was at it he tried (unsuccessfully I might add) to get the new Nr 145!! It was a good pitch but I had the dark green 132- nice beast.

finally, my 30320 arrived. Nice car, heavy, metal wheels, Hungarian......brown, like paprikash......

I have to complain (part of raison d'etre on this forum lol). The car has big sliding baggage doors, white compartment walls on each end, platforms, and yet the platform doors dont open, but are molded shut. And, it has a rather lame printed tool box or access door, or ???? on one side, including a door pull, and simulated door lock/hasp, yet no molded relief for this. The printing looks toy like to say the least. I had to look and digest before i could determine what the printing was supposed to represent. Given its price, i would expect operating platform doors.
