Bought three new green LGB RhB coaches recentley (Philbahn loves them apparentley...NOT!! (Sorry Phil))

200 euros (£160 ish) each, anyhow one had a major fault in that as soon as it was place on the track under power the lighting circuit blew.

As the underside showed.

Inside it became quite clear.

Any how its all sorted now and running.......

...but was was the root cause of the resistor overheating? Was there a short somewhere else that you fixed? Was it incorrectly mounted? Wrong value? Did you have to unsolder it yourself or was it like that (loose) when you opened up?

Thats how i found it when i opened it up, it was stuck to the plastic.

Apparentley it was the a bad joint on the board, for which i take no credit for sorting it out, friends in low places:bigsmile:

Anyhow its all sorted, and was tested under load for over an hour, befor re fitting.

It was going to go back to Marklin, as they had suggested, but something else cropped up to render that option redundant,
and my friend fixed it.
