So following on from allowing my G/f to program my chipped Stainz, I`ve also got her her own train set! Secretly, I`m a bit scared of her playing with my (in some cases) very expensive toys, coupled with her accident track record... Managed to pick up a reasonable condition Stainz Circus set for sensible money. Since then, its grown a couple more wagons, the latest awaiting her to finish the custom paint job to match the caboose on the back of the train.

LGB is pretty well indestructible. There was this Salesman in a Garden Railway Shop in Orlando, Drew was his name. His party piece was to throw an LGB Coach from one end of the store to the other. Well this thing had a couple of small parts missing but otherwise lived as new on top of its box in the New Stock Shelves. Nobody ever noticed the difference on entering the Store.

Now if only my other half would be as interested. Still, I've got three grandsons all into it and two have become pretty fine engine drivers.

Luca regularly coaxes my loco's up Ruritania's Pootank pass without difficulty, putting me to shame with my efforts.

Jonah seems to have developed a skill for shunting.

Milo, well he's still a babe in arms at the mo, but permission has been obtained to buy his first loco ready for his driver training.
