Ex Ruschbahn locomotive. Originally the 'Millesee Pilot'

It is now over ten years since this little loco joined me after the Ruschbahn closed down in 2013.
It was repainted into BR livery and numbered E718, but remains a regular in use on my line.
Today it was on a short section of indoor test track after arriving for servicing.
The photo was taken in march 2014 not long after it arrived with me.

Good to hear it’s dulcet tones again, it spent many happy hours burbling away in Millisee as the yard pilot doing many complex and important shunting moves plus adding the odd van to the rear of Railcar and other passenger trains. Much loved by Andy and purchased RTR from a well known shop in Princess Risborough as a built example of one of their kits.

I do not have anyone indoors to give a 'second opinion' but so far it has happened every year for over a decade and the carpet has survived!!
