Although the mag is an American one, I have always found that the planting section, with its 'zone' info, is always very helpful and great for ideas on scale planting.
This months (February) edition has a lot more than usual with some being shown on reader's layouts.
Real scale plants, while taking a bit of time to 'keep in scale' really do add something to the whole feel of a layout.
Plastic is fine in moderation but you just can't beat real.

Also got my copie last week Mike  Good selection of plants for shady areas seem to have more of that in our garden as next doors trees are getting bigger and shadying the rockery :wits: Also a Great review of the new Bachmann C-19 and nice Rio Grande small garden layout
