Finescale Engineering LGB Frank S gas tank

Can someone over in the UK give FInescale Engineering a call and see if Tony still can make the replacement gas tank he used to offer for the LGB/Aster Frank S locomotive? Dont want to just send my gas tank over(you had to do this when you purchased one) without knowning if he still offers this replacement tank. Or if there is an email addy I can send a message to. I am not good trying to explain things over the phone being on the autism spectrum. Thanks for any help. Mike

Hello Mike,

I rang them today (as they are quite near to me) and spoke to Tony. He says has not done them for years, so offers apologies, but says no he can't do them any more. He no longer has the patterns etc.

He said that he mainly made them for a dealer/trader in Germany and says that most of the ones he made went to him, but could not think of his name when we spoke.

Thanks for inquiring with Tony. I figured this would be the answer this many years on. I will have to see if I can find someone to build me a tank otherwise I will have to put a RH tank in the cab and drill a hole in the roof for the gas can with an adapter to reach as Frank's cab has a fixed roof that is part of the whole cab and not a seperate part like a RH. And it lacks any of the fittings to control the gas or hook it to the jet. I will keep looking for other options. Thanks for the post, thats a neat site. Mike
