First building (only cardboard mock-up so far)

I thought I'd share the progress with making my first scratch built building.
I have made an initial cardboard mock-up, and have started transferring this into plywood.

The walls have been made out of 4mm ply with some 1/2in timber glued into the corners. The glue is still drying so no photos sorry.

However I have been able to take a couple of pics of the mock-up tonight (thought I's try a 99p ebay LED strip to light under the canopy).

The platform is simply some more 4mm ply on 1/2in x 1 1/2in battens.

Looks great, I'd leave it at that, full of atmosphere, you could have a whole dish washer town, or if you change the brand you could have fairy at the bottom of the garden. Look forward to see the finished artical though.

The price has gone up a whole 9p since I ordered mine!

No resistors are required - simply connect to a 12V supply. I have used an old AT Computer PSU to give a stable 12V supply as I intend to add lots more lighting, including converting some solar lights to powered.

Will
