Today I finalley had the chance to fire up my Aristo 0-4-0 steamer. I had it running most of the day in my garage. Im hooked on this live steam stuff. I am very happy with the aristo 0-4-0. It ran great. It takes a little getting use to it but overall very easy to operate. I good 15 -20 min run time pulling two cars and on a grade (garage slope) The only thing I found was the warm watter bath got cold halfway through run so I had to drain it and add more warm water, otherwise the fire was weak. Thats only because the garge was cold. The sound sytem is ok but I would much rather listen to the steam sound. For $499 from wholsesale I couldnt beat that price. I took a short video of it running. The only disadvantage to this engine is there is no way to control the throttle without the RC controler. At some point I would like to see where the throttle is and hopefully put some sort of attachment on it. That way if the electronics die I can start it up and control the speed manualy. I cant wait to test it out on the outdoor layout. Going to be a while until all this snow melts.
