Fits in well me thinks

Very nice, a sort of baby Lady Anne. I wonder if George's tender is available seperately, because I want one for my Billy and to my eye that one looks better than the other 4 wheel tender.

I think I see an anglicised Billy.
Do like the full running plate.
Yep, I agree - I'm quite liking it, but not the tender version, tank locos with tenders always look odd to me.

tend to agree with Neil.

I don't like Billy.
What's that got to do with the price of fish?

Well, there you go... as I said, it's been Anglicised!

I could also say Katie with side tanks.
Good business move, standard parts, minimal development costs.

Yes it is. No price posted yet but phone for info. Four have already been ordered to my knowledge.

I used to feel that way, but then got "into" the Fes and became used to it.
Also visited the Brecon and it seemed normal seeing the Jung loco, with its tender being filled from a garage type pump.

George would look much better without the tanks, but of course there's the RC gubbins to consider.
I imagine this is their replacement for William.

Must say I like the look of them. Regarding the tender, I?m not a fan of tank engines with tenders but know many who are and i?m guessing Roundhouse know that too.

Steve- interesting comment about the chunkyness of their models. If I think chunky I think of accucraft who?s models I find a bit on the large side, but that?s personal taste- nothing wrong with that at all.

Regarding price- it is high but then it is UK made in smaller batches. Will be interesting to see what happens to lady Ann but its available in kit form as well which may mean its kept. Also they can just reduce the amount of batches they do per year of it, unlike Accucraft who have to build certain numbers to keep the price down.

I like the front foot plate, any chance of it being a spare part for a lazy lady Ann owner like me?

Only thing I will grumble on is please please start using Hex head screws! Something it seems lots of people in the press comment on so not sure why it?s not been taken on board as yet.

Oh any comments I make- think of rule 8! ( think that will be my new signature!)

Personally i think they both look really nice. Similar to Caradoc (Ragleth), but with a different cab.

I just saw the price - I've gone off it..........
In the same bracket as their other generic locos.
My point exactly really - exactly the same price as Katie and Lady Anne, but with such minimal development costs (as mentioned above, it's a Katie with side tanks) I had hoped for it to be pitched a little cheaper (I'm thinking maybe £100 - £150 less??). I have several Roundhouse locos and know about UK v foreign pricing, but I think they have missed the goalposts just a touch with this one. I wish them luck of course, I have a lot of time for the Roundhouse folk and their products, but I think it would do a lot better for them if they had pitched the price a touch lower. IMHO of course....8| I'm happy to be proved wrong!

I doubt if it will fit the Lady Anne.
Having made my own, I found the cylinders project above the footplate, unlike Billy's which are below.

The problem for RoundHouse is why buy a similar loco to Ragleth for twice the price?and no,they're not better runners or better made than Ragleth. It would have been better to make something different,They're too similar. IMHO.

Roundhouse confirmed my order for two George tender kits this afternoon. Delivery will be when they have them in stock, which should be about a month.
